Pictured below are  Tina Clune, Dr. Nancy Mims, and Diane Brittain.  Mims shared her "DAR Story" and some of her rich heritage including trips abroad to walk where her ancestors walked.  She served as Chapter Regent in Florida and Georgia and was elected as an Outstanding Junior twice.  She holds the title of Professor Emerita from the University of West Georgia.  Mims is full time faculty at Jones International University, where she teaches online Master's and Doctoral level courses.  During her career in Educational Leadership she had opportunities to visit several countries, not only to teach, but also to learn about the various myths and cultures.  While living in St. Petersburg, Russia, as a Fulbright scholar, Dr. Mims found time to explore children's literature.  She became fascinated with the way Russian folk tales imparted daily lessons and morals.  Her later travels to India for over a decade to lecture, teach and serve as the principal of two schools: one in Nashik, the other in Tardeo, provided her with more oportunities to read and study children's literature.

Registrar Violette Denney presented a "50 Year Membership Certificate" to Dr. Nancy Mims for her years of dedicated service to the Daughters of the American Revolution!

CONGRATULATIONS!
